The Owner & The Head Instructor

Madhuri Reddy:

As an extensively trained and certified professional instructor, I serve as a mentor
who guides your children through their work while also providing direction, support and
encouragement. I create an at-home study plan in addition to monitoring classroom assignments,
and I emphasize the importance of accurately completing each assignment within a designated
time frame. This has helped many of my students increase self-confidence, thus becoming more
self-reliant. Like all Kumon Instructors, I have a true passion for education and an earnest desire
to help children succeed.

Who are Kumon instructors

Kumon instructors are certified teachers who can guide, assess and encourage your child to help maximize success.

Barbara Katz:

My name is Barbara Katz and l have recently moved from Rockaway to Wharton. My weekends are happily filled by spending time with family, grand babies, and friends. I always seem to find sometime for hiking, spin class and working out at the gym. As an educator it’s been my privilege to work with students from preschool through 6th for thirty-five years. As l joyfully continue to teach in a diverse population the mornings, I always look forward to teaching Kumon in the afternoons. As a Kumon instructor, we provide a safe, caring, individualize environment that recognizes each student’s potential as we promote learning and growing.

Sweety Khullar:

I have recently joined the Kumon team. I’m currently working at an elementary school and have been for the past 15 years. I’m certified in ABA. I love working with children, and I am a mother of three. I’m passionate about building my student’s self-esteem and independence through my instruction. I enjoy working at Kumon because it caters to the individual needs of each student. I feel a lot of joy watching the progress my students make throughout their time with the center.

Jillian Drabik:

I have worked with children and young adults throughout my education and early professional career I worked and volunteered as a Teacher’s Aide and Tutor at a local grammar school to teach students in subjects including science, math, and reading. I have also served as a University Teaching Assistant, where I taught college students how to write scientific papers and to use mathematical principles to solve ecological problems. I am a published author in the field of education, and have written an academic journal article on improving interdisciplinary curriculums in sustainability programs at U.S. universities. I bring skills in both applying active learning strategies and drawing insights from different disciplines to provide a learning approach that appeals to a wide variety of learners.

Susan Decter:

I have been teaching for over 14 years, which has given me numerous opportunities to work with kids in group and individual settings. I have always liked the challenge of connecting with students and then helping them to reach their personal best. At Kumon, in the Early Learner area, I face that quest every day. But the rewards are far greater. I love working at the Parsippany Kumon Center because I am able to teach in different ways, overcome obstacles, and achieve new goals.
